Machine Model Testing |

Machine Model is similar to HBM testing. The test equipment is the same, but the test head is slightly different. The MM version does not have a 1,500 ohm resistor, but otherwise the test board and the socket are the same as for HBM testing. Machine Model testing was actually developed in Japan and is a much more severe ESD test that simulates metallic contact between the device under test and charge body.
